This policy covers the website at reclaimedgospel.com and the Reclaimed mobile app (“Reclaimed”, “we”, “us”). It explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
You can read the site and play the app without an account. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not show you personalised ads. If you sign in, we store what you save so it follows you between devices — and you can delete all of it yourself, from inside the app.
What we collect
If you use the app without signing in, your saves, highlights and journal entries stay on your device. We create an anonymous identifier so the app can count your free daily puzzles and questions.
If you sign in (with Apple, Google, or email), we store:
- your email address, so we can identify your account, and your name if Apple or Google shares it with us when you sign in;
- a user ID that links your content to that account;
- the things you choose to keep — saved answers, saved articles, verse and article highlights, and journal entries;
- the questions you send to Ask;
- your subscription status, if you subscribe to Reclaimed Plus.
Everyone: our advertising partner may collect a device advertising identifier and basic interaction data in order to serve ads. Ads are shown only on the free tier, and are requested non-personalised. Crash and performance diagnostics may be collected by the SDKs we use.
If you join the leaderboard, the name and avatar colour you choose, and your weekly points, are shown to other players. Joining is optional, and your profile name stays on your device until you do.
We do not ask for your location, your contacts, your photos, or your health data.
Why we collect it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, to sync what you saved, to answer your questions, to keep your streak, to apply your subscription, and to show ads on the free tier. We do not use your content to build an advertising profile of you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers, and only for the purposes above:
| Provider | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in, and server functions | Your account and the content you save |
| Anthropic | Generates answers in Ask | The text of your question and excerpts from our articles — not your name, email, or account ID |
| OpenAI | Generates answers in Ask when Anthropic is unavailable | The same as Anthropic: your question and article excerpts only |
| Resend | Delivers sign-in and account emails | Your email address and the email we send you |
| RevenueCat | Manages subscriptions | Your subscription status and an app user ID |
| Google AdMob | Serves ads on the free tier | A device advertising identifier and ad interaction data |
| Apple / Google | Process payments | Your payment details, which we never see |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
Reclaimed is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Play without an account. Sign-in is optional.
- Delete everything. In the app: Profile → ⋯ → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all content we hold for it. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
- Limit ad tracking. iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android: Settings → Google → Ads.
- Cancel a subscription. In your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA — including access, correction, deletion, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Email us and we will honour them.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your content is deleted with it. Backups are cycled out within 30 days.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Data is stored with access controls that limit each account to its own rows. No system is perfect, but we do not keep data we do not need.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app’s release notes.
